A SHORT HISTORY OF RAMSHACKLICIOUS

The judging panel had seen a lot of Holly and Jack's previous work and thought their idea for a street show was brilliant. So Holly and Jack went into rehearsals with the following team to research and develop "The Road to Nowhere".

Marc Parrett - Performer, musician, set, prop and puppet designer/maker
Les Bubb - Mime artist, performer, ideas man
Emma Lloyd - Director
Gill Stoddart - Costume Designer

During rehearsals, the assembled cast played a lot of music and discovered a lot of games. They played and played until this strange family of misfits appeared and so did a story for them to inhabit. They became a travelling family, bound to the road, on a futile mission to find brides for the boys before their overbearing Nana can rest in peace.

The initial explorations were presented as a series of static moments within
a walkabout context at the Harbourside Festival, Bristol. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, both from audiences and seasoned professionals.
